Late-notice and short-notice staff cover across the UK

DROPP provides late-notice cover for logistics firms, manufacturers and warehouses across the UK. When a driver calls in sick or a shift falls through, we supply HGV Class 1 and Class 2, HIAB, 7.5 tonne and van drivers, skilled engineering trades, and warehouse, forklift and production staff at short notice.

Existing clients can request same-day and next-day cover. New clients need 24 hours' notice for a first booking. Every worker goes through the same checks, however late the request. Call 020 3037 8710, or see how we work with employers and where we recruit.

Late-notice cover FAQs

Good to know.

How quickly can you cover a shift?

We start on it as soon as your request lands. Existing clients can ask for same-day and next-day cover. If you are new to DROPP, we need 24 hours' notice for a first booking.

Why do new clients need 24 hours' notice?

We need to set up your account and understand the site and the role, so the person we send is the right one. Send the request anyway and we will come straight back to you.

Which roles can you cover at late notice?

HGV Class 1 and Class 2, HIAB, 7.5 tonne and van drivers, skilled engineering trades, and warehouse, forklift and production staff.

Are late-notice workers still checked?

Yes. Everyone we send has been through the same checks as any other DROPP worker, including right to work, licences and qualifications.

What do you need from me?

The role, the site, the date and start time, how long the shift is and who to report to. If you do not have everything, send what you have.
